Since I was a little girl and watched it on TV I often dreamed of how amazing running the London Marathon would be but quickly dismissed it as impossible! Last year, in a moment of madness, I entered the ballot and to my surprise I got in! I never wanted the pressure of a charity place, but what I have found during my long training runs is that I have reflected a lot on what this is all for and whether some good can come out this crazy goal! I have decided to set up a fundraising page for all those people who have asked if they can sponsor me!
There are so many charities that are close to my heart, and choosing one is actually been very difficult but I’ve chosen to fundraise for Bliss. There are more than 100,000 babies born needing neonatal care every year and I want to make a difference to them. Every donation that’s made to this page brings Bliss closer to ensuring that every baby born premature or sick in the UK has the best chance of survival and quality of life. Bliss does that by supporting parents to care for their babies, campaigning for better neonatal care and enabling life-changing research. This is what will keep me putting one foot in front of the other on April 28th!
