Story

Chloe, our beautiful baby girl was born 6th September 2016, arriving 15 weeks too soon. She was too little and her fight, though heroic, was not enough. After 82 days she departed just as she arrived - gracefully and on her terms. She touched many hearts, taught us a great deal about life. She is much loved and will always be a part of our family.

This year would have been her 5th birthday. Lorna and I had hoped to hike Mont Blanc to scatter her ashes, but Covid put paid to our training plans, so we will need to wait a little longer for that! Instead, I’m running the Great North Run half marathon in her memory. Best buddy and running convert Andy Prout will be alongside, as we both look to raise money for Bliss on Chloe’s memory.

Every 5 minutes, a baby is admitted to neonatal care in the UK.Bliss is the leading UK charity for babies born premature or sick. They rely on donations to fund their work, and without our help they won't be able to reach the 100,000 babies needing neonatal care each year.Your donation to my page will help Bliss to drive improvements in neonatal care, to ensure that the needs of babies are at the heart of policy and planning for the future, and to provide information and support to all families with a baby born premature or sick.
