Story

3 Peaks, 3 Women, 24 Hours….

Having never climbed a mountain in my life and with not a lot of spare time I thought why not climb 3 and do it in 24 hours!

Luckily enough I have two of my best friends Kate and Leona, crazy enough to do it with me!

So with not a pair of walking boots or an anorak between us we’ve signed up to the 3 Peaks Challenge. We’re going to attempt to climb the 3 highest Peaks in the UK -  Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scarfel Pike (England) and Snowdon (Wales) and we’re only giving ourselves 24 hours to complete it. It will be pretty tough, especially as one of them we’ll be climbing through the night and in the pitch black with only a head torch to see the way. Do Ralph Lauren even make those?

What a challenge, it will need grit, determination and strength to get us though but this is nothing compared to that of our special friends’ little girl, Baby Chloe.

Chloe was born 5 years ago, she arrived very early at just 25 weeks and fought so bravely for 3 months to stay here with her Mummy and Daddy but she was just too little to overcome her struggles and Chloe grew her angel wings on 27th November 2016.

The strength and courage that Lorna and John showed throughout their journey taught so many of us that we should live in the moment, enjoy the time we have and most importantly show kindness and respect for all those that help us, not just in challenging times but everyday. With what we have all experienced throughout the Covid pandemic these sentiments ring truer than ever.

Chloe may have been so tiny but she has made such a huge footprint on the world and in so many of our hearts.  Lorna and John are continuing to build a beautiful legacy for Chloe and are helping other families dealing with prematurity and it’s battles by supporting Bliss, a charity for babies born premature and sick. Bliss are a phenomenal charity, working hard to empower families on neonatal units, and working so hard for the survival and quality of life for sick and premature babies.

So we will be climbing in honour of Baby Chloe Filipa Grace and the wonderful charity Bliss.

Please if you can make a donation to help motivate us to reach the top of the mountain (or all 3 in this case) it would be so appreciated.

With love

Laura, Kate and Leona x
